Friday Check-in

It is currently 9am. There’s plenty of time left today to be productive. My plan is to divide my “work” day into 3 sections: job seeking, money work, and business building work.

But for now, it’s time to take a look back at this past week. This has not been the best week ever, but I made small progress on every front: I applied for jobs, I did some minor work for pay, and I worked on this site. There was a lot of family stuff going on, so I feel pretty good about still managing to keep some focus on moving forward.

My plan for the next week is to work my butt off every single day. I think my motto for the rest of the year is “Publish or perish!” I don’t mean that in the academic sense, but that I need to keep getting stuff out if I’m really interested in making my content and media work my main gig.

Specific goals for the upcoming week:

  1. Do the job assessments sitting in my inbox (unless I finish those today.)
  2. Apply for a minimum of 3 jobs a day.
  3. Attend all my appointments and meetings.
  4. Write 2 articles (paid)
  5. Put out 1 video and 1 podcast episode.
  6. Write in this blog on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. (Minimum)

Is all that a bit ambitious for me? Yes. But it is also very doable.

If you’re reading this, I hope your week went well. I hope next week is even better. And if this week was terrible, I wish you happy new week.
