Day 2. Two Stars.

Today was fubar.

I barely slept last night, and the kid stayed home sick for the first part of the day. By the time I got him to school, I was already dragging. Errands ate up the rest of the morning. By the time I went to Dollar Tree and Walmart, what should have been a quick trip turned into a two-hour marathon. At Walmart, I parked between the pharmacy entrance and the garden entrance, but not close to either, and of course, I managed to leave my phone in the car. Between walking back to get my phone, waiting in line at customer service to do a return, and doing some light grocery shopping, I managed to wear myself out.

And then I had to go back to customer service to get money orders. Yay.

By the time I was on my way home, my body had given out. I was overwhelmed by the kind of fatigue where your limbs feel like lead and you have to haul yourself around by sheer force of will. I recorded a YouTube short in my car when I got home before I managed to drag my sad carcass into the house. It would be fair to say I was stalling.

I tried to rest, cooked dinner, cleaned up, and finally sat down in my office around 7 p.m.—just in time for the kid to pop in and clown around. I managed exactly two small Outlier tasks before calling it quits.

I’m too tired to think at this point, but I promised I would check in, so here I am. I explained my day to ChatGPT and we decided to put today’s unfinished tasks on tomorrow’s schedule and try to keep things relatively light.
