I spent January giving myself time to reflect on 2025, decompress from that mess, and prepare to tackle the rest of 2026. Now I am ready to get back to setting goals, trying experiments, and generally doing things.
We’re a week into February now, and my challenge for this month is to start a business and make a dollar. I am going to try my hand at a learning support business, helping older adults gain confidence in their foreign language study by talking through what’s working, what’s not working, and what’s next. I will provide accountability and potential strategies. That is to say, I am not going to teach languages, I am just going to facilitate learning on your own. Learning a language on your own is hard. Having someone in your corner may help.
But that’s not all! I am working on some other potential income streams that might grow into one or more full-fledged business ventures. My goal is to create a steady stream of location-independent income because an international move is in my five year plan.
