I want to go to the flea market over in Rogers, Ohio. It’s not terribly far away, but I still haven’t gotten there. At this point, I will wait for warmer weather, but I am determined to get there and looking forward to it. I love flea markets, and this is a big one.
Scheduling and my mobility impairment have been the main things preventing me from getting there. They are only open on Friday and one Saturday a month, which requires me to remember on a Friday or that one Saturday and not have committed myself to something else already. Planning ahead can solve that problem.
My mobility impairment is less of an issue now. For one thing, I did just have knee replacement surgery and even if I get the second one in a few months, I should be in walking order by summer or so. But I also have a secret weapon: a wheelchair. This is exactly what I got the wheelchair for, to be able to go places and to be included with others when they invite me along.
There are also a lot of things in Pittsburgh (even closer!) I’d like to check out soon too. I haven’t done those things for the same reasons. I have a feeling that adventures will begin blooming this spring.

Exciting! I hope spring brings all the new adventures youβre hoping for!

Thank you for talking about your mobility issues. I also have problems with my legs.

Mobility impairments are more common and sometimes less obvious than people think. I’m glad I could address a relevant topic for you. π
